Top 5 Disney World Hacks

It can be incredibly difficult to plan a trip to Walt Disney World. There is so much to see and do, you want to make sure you can do it all. Today I will be sharing my top 5 hacks to make the most of your trip. These hacks will help save time and make your park day more enjoyable!

1. Fuel Rods

My absolute favorite hack is to buy a fuel rod at Disney World. Fuel Rods are a portable charger that cost $30 plus tax. It initially comes with a kit, including cords for all different types of phones. What’s great about Fuel Rods is on Disney property you can swap them for a fully charged one for free. There are kiosks at every park and resort, making the exchange extremely convenient. There is no worse feeling than your phone dying halfway through your park day. Fuel Rods eliminate that problem and allow you to use as much battery as you want. By searching “fuel rod” or “Portable phone charging” on the my Disney experience app, you can see where every kiosk is on the map. Below you can see some of the locations in the magic kingdom. There is one in almost every land making it super convenient.

2. Mobile Ordering

On the my Disney experience app you can mobile order and join restaurant walk up lists in advance. Mobile ordering food in advance is the best way to skip those long lines. Lines can get extremely long and mobile ordering allows you to have more time available for rides. Joining walk up list allows you to wait the wait time for your favorite restaurant while doing things in the park. You can now also mobile order take out from dine in restaurants, like Kona Cafe. This is my favorite hack to order food and take it back to my resort room!

3. Ride Attractions During Fireworks

If you don’t care about missing the fireworks or Fantasmic, then this hack is for you. During these events almost everyone in the parks is attending, meaning the rides are pretty much empty during this time. This is a great way to find short lines on the most popular attractions. This can help you squeeze everything you want to do during that day if you are okay with missing these shows.

4. Purchase Gift Cards at Target

Gift cards can be used everywhere on property. If you have the Target red card, you receive 5% off your purchases, including gift cards. Buying Disney gift cards at Target can save you some money and help offset your expenses. 5% may not seem like a lot, but it really adds up.

5. Tree of Life Path

This is one of my favorite Disney secrets. In Animal Kingdom there is a path you can take that goes directly up to the tree of life. Almost no one knows about this path, so it is almost always empty. This makes for a perfect picture spot away from all the crowds. Some of my favorite photos have been taken here. Even in the pouring rain photos here turn out great, like the one below. This is also a great spot to have a moment break away from the craziness. On the my Disney experience app you can search “discovery island trails” to find this hidden gem!

I hope you enjoyed my top 5 hacks to maximize your time at Walt Disney World! Disney World can be extremely overwhelming, these tips will help minimize your stress during your trip. I hope you found these useful and have the best time at Walt Disney World!
